What is The Apex Vault?
The Apex Vault is a tracker for Apex's Live Traders to see how much money has been locked away indefinitely.
Why does this exist?
Apex Trader Funding’s live program is not fully available yet, and many traders feel left without clarity on their accounts, unpaid profits, and how to move forward. This vault exists to help show some statistics of how many people are affected and the scale of the funds Apex is withholding. This is not Apex's official support, so we cannot help you with any issues related to Apex or your account.
What are the issues traders are talking about related to the Live program?
  1. Perhaps most important of all: Apex removed a clause that was on the website for years. The clause said all traders who are moved live (before their 6th payout) would get their entire balance paid out first.
  2. Apex has since then declared that unpaid balances are instead being moved to a Vault, to be paid as a 20% bonus on top of successful withdrawals. This means that a trader with $100,000 of unpaid profits would have to withdraw $500,000 ($100,000 per month in 5 separate months), to earn back the $100,000 they are owed.
  3. Their documentation says that balances "MAY" be eligible to be withdrawn if traders are performing well for that month. The level of performance has not been clarified, so there are no guarantees that those profits will ever be accessible.
  4. All support tickets are being ignored, closed automatically, or receiving an automated response that does not address any concerns.
  5. Traders had accounts disabled to be moved Live with no warnings or formal announcement, in the middle of the trading session. They were then unable to view or read any of the messages on their dashboard for several days, having to receive information from other traders about what happened.
  6. Other firms move traders live within a week or two. It has been over 2 months with Apex for many traders.
  7. Some traders with smaller or no payout history are now being offered the same Live program as other traders in the top 0.1% of profitability (with $100k+ payout histories). This suggests that having good performance at a larger scale does not provide any benefit once moved Live.
  8. Regardless of how many PAs or the size of the PA accounts, traders are being offered a single $3,000 trailing drawdown account. If you were maintaining 20 $100,000 accounts for the past months or years, your total capital is suddenly reduced from $2,000,000 to $3,000. This means working up to 10 to 20 PA accounts and scaling their business is no longer a safe option for the long term.
  9. Apex is offering every Live trader (including ones with $100,000+ balances) an option to take $3,000 and leave quietly. This does not feel like a program designed for long-term partnership with profitable traders.
  10. Influencers with large followings, to our knowledge so far, are not being moved live, despite often having a history of large payouts. This suggests Apex wants them to keep driving sales and trading their evals/PAs rather than have them speak on their experience in Live (which is not available anyway).
  11. 90% evaluation sales used to be rare. Now they are frequent and lasting months. Some see this as a sign of firm capital running low.
What is Apex doing about it?
So far, not much. There were some back and forth posts on Twitter, where traders were called "terrorists", and told they would even have to pay back funds that were previously paid out based on their contract.
